Today is March 8, World Women's Rights Day for ALL women 👧🏻👩🏾👱🏽‍♀️👵🏼👩🏻‍🦽👩🏼‍🦼👩🏽‍🦯.
35% of women and girls are exposed globally to physical, emotional, economic or sexual violence by an intimate partner or another person (@who).
Women and girls with disabilities (especially women with mental disabilities) are almost ten times more likely (@unfpa) to experience sexual violence. Such violence is a major violation of women's rights and human rights. It leads to health problems, psychological trauma and high social and economic costs.
