EVENT - Festival of Trisomy 21 - 18 to 21 March 2022

This is the event of the month of March not to be missed in Brussels 💥🌻🇧🇪

From 18 to 21 March 2022, the following will take place at the Uccle cultural centre the first Down's syndrome festivalorganised on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, 21 March.

The aim of these 4 festive days is to raise awareness among the general public about the inclusion of people with Down's syndrome in our society and to demystify the image that people have of these people "with those little extra things... or less". Laurence & Gauthier tell us more:

On the programme: Gala evening, Forum of Associations & School Day where you are all asked to come with friends, family or students to see the shows "The Pink Soldier" & "Normal".

 

- The Pink Soldier: directed by Gauthier Bourgois, Louis Chedid and Pierre Burgaud's musical tale will have "a little something extra" that will surprise the audience in many ways. Friday 18 March at 8pm, Saturday 19 March and Sunday 20 March at 2pm, Monday 21 March at 10am and 1.30pm (for schools)

- This is normal! a one woman showThe first Belgian comedian with a disability, Karen de Paduwa, will be on stage. Written by Thierry Janssen and directed by Gauthier Bourgois. Once again, it will be a question of 'extra'... or 'extra'... which will leave no one indifferent. Saturday 19 March at 8pm
